Quote of the Month:
“Good, better, best. Never let it rest. Till your good is better and your better is best.”
St. Jerome.
During Chemistry class, I was fascinated by the transformative process of turning mixing reagents in a beaker into colorful products. The reaction usually continued until the consumption of the limiting reagent in the reaction. Likewise on a grand scheme, our lifespan in this world gives us a specific time frame to achieve our purpose on planet Earth. To fully achieve our purpose requires encouragement, determination, knowledge, wisdom, patience, self control, temperance, persistence, intelligence, chance, preparedness, grit and courage. It is important to give our best effort to extract 110% of our talents to achieve our set goals in life.

President Calvin Coolidge once said:
“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan ‘Press On!’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”
Interestingly, the most successful men and women of every generation dedicated time to their craft by studying, practicing, meditating, believing in their gifts, pushing the limit of their God-given talents until finally achieving the great breakthrough. Proverbs 13:19 states “the desire accomplished is sweet to the soul.”

What is it that you desire more than anything in this world? What activities are you performing today to get closer to that dream? Keep pushing your limits and position yourself for greatness. After achieving you set goals, remember and give back to your community, and mentor someone else who is lost and searching for a purpose in this world. Until the next time, take care of yourself and your family.
Sincerely,
Kofi Amo-Mensah, MD.
