Quote of the Month:

“If your goal is to be financially independent, your plan should be to sacrifice high consumption today for financial independence tomorrow. ” Dr. Thomas Stanley.

The path to success is filled with struggles, setbacks, tears, frustration, optimism and finally success. Success may not come in the exact order described but such motifs are found in each true story. Success does not occur overnight . Napoleon HIll stated in Think and Grow Rich, that you must envision the success, and concurrently take the actual steps to achieve it. A Chinese proverbs states” A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” Thomas Stanley stated in his book The Millionaire Next Door that “Wealth is more often the result of a lifestyle of hard work, perseverance, planning, and most of all, self discipline.”

Personal success can be perceived either as internal or external achievements, or a combination of both. For example, Internal success may be described as overcoming personal phobias, addiction to drugs, alcohol, tobacco products, gambling, pornography. Successfully avoiding other self destructive behaviors is one of the keys to having a peaceful life. Having Self- Control at all times is a Key Discipline to sustaining your perpetual success. One wrong move can derail over 20 years of hard fought successful achievements.

Example of external success may includes the acquisition of more assets than liabilities resulting in net positive net-worth. Read up on the life of Mr. Warren Buffett to learn how he acquired his external success.

Vehicle to increase networth includes the prodigious accumulation of investments in stocks, real estates, living below your means, and sustaining a longer life. If you continue to montly invest in stocks, then compound interest will progressively work in your favor over the 20-30 years, but you must strive to stay alive to reap your reward. Therefore, guide your health at all cost. Remember your health is your wealth. Exercise, eat well, obtain at least eight hours of sleep a day, if possible. Remember to always spent time everyday with your Heavenly Father in prayers to protect, and give you guidance to make your dreams a reality.

Through personally recollection, a picture hang in the restroom at the church that I attended while in college. It read “who we are, is God’s gift to us. What we become is our gift to God.”

In conclusion, always remember who you are. Enhance and multiple the talents you possess. Have ultra confidence in your God given abilities and judiciously use it for good in this world. Explore the sea of endless possibilities hidden but available to you. If you plan, execute, and dig deeper into your inner soul of your consciousness, you will find the answers and unlock the keys to a happy and very successful life .
